To encourage informal networking amongst
attendees, we have reserved a block of guest rooms at
the Best Western Gateway to the Keys.
Located less than five
miles from the Tropical Research and Education Center in
Homestead, the Best Western and is offering a
VERY SPECIAL RATE of $94.50 per night plus tax
(currently
13%)
for 2 Queen Beds (with one to four people per room).
Guests will find friendly helpful staff,
newly renovated accommodations and convenient access to
a variety of key area attractions. Located in Florida
City, adjacent to Homestead this Southern Florida area
hotel features well-appointed guest rooms and suites,
each equipped with cable satellite television and free
high-speed Internet access. Hotel guests will enjoy an
array of amenities including a complimentary hot
breakfast, an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, free
boat and RV parking and meeting facilities.
How to Make a Hotel Reservation:
In order to
receive the discounted group rate, reservations must be
made by Monday, January 31. To make a
reservation, contact the Best Western directly by
calling 305-246-5100.
Please be aware the block of rooms may fill before the
deadline, so we urge you to make your reservation as
soon as possible. All reservations must be accompanied
by a first night room deposit or be guaranteed with a
major credit card.
When making your reservation,
be sure to specify you are
attending the
UF/IFAS Water Quality Course.
Special Hotel Instructions:

The rate being offered to attendees is
exclusive and may not be used not in conjunction with
any advertised or unadvertised promotional specials
existing or yet unreleased.
o
Government participants: To receive
tax exempt status, payment must be made in the form of a
government issued credit card and be accompanied by a
Florida sales tax exemption certificate presented at
check-in.
o
Check-in time is 3:00 PM or later.
Anyone arriving prior to 3:00pm will be given a room as
it becomes available. Checkout time is 12:00 PM.
o
Cancellation Policy: Reservations
must be cancelled 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid a
penalty of one night’s room and tax. Any room cancelled
after 6:00 PM on the day of arrival will be
charged one night’s room and tax.
