Introduction
This
exclusive training program focuses on the interrelations of hydrology and hydric
soils and how to distinguish hydric soils from nonhydric soils. Morning lectures
address background information on soil hydrology, definition and criteria of
hydric soils, morphologies of hydric soils, and monitoring instrumentation and
data analysis. Field indicators of hydric soils will be emphasized throughout
the course, and afternoon field trips are designed to provide field examples of
material covered during morning lectures. Emphasis will be on the separation of
hydric soils from nonhydric soils. This course provides 21 hours of training and
instruction, and a Certificate of Completion will be provided upon conclusion.
Enrollment is limited, so register early to secure a seat in the course.
Not sure if you should attend? Contact the course
instructor, Wade Hurt, at whurt@ufl.edu and
ask if this training course is for you.
