Hotel RoomThe 2013 North American Association of Fisheries Economists (NAAFE) Forum will be hosted at the Tradewinds Island Grand Resort, St Pete Beach, FL, USA.  This beachfront property is the perfect setting for our forum. It is a classic, AAA four-diamond, family-friendly resort offering a colorful mix of relaxation, fun and recreation that is ideal for incorporating a family vacation.

Special Group Rate Information
The TradeWinds Island Grand Resort is pleased to offer a very special discounted rate of $119.00 per night plus applicable taxes (currently 12%) for single or double occupancy in standard rooms. This rate is net non-commissionable.  Children under 18 are complimentary when sharing a room.  Each additional person 18 years of age and older will be charged an additional fee of $15.00 per room, per night.  Group room rates will be extended (3) three days prior and (3) three days following the forum, should you need to extend your reservation (based on availability).

All hotel rooms include new flat screen high definition TV’s, pillow top beds, wet bar area with mini fridge or refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishware and stocked mini-bar; hairdryer and lighted makeup mirror, iron/board, wireless internet access, in-room movies, voice mail and daily newspaper.

Federal Employees
If you are a federal employee requiring a rate at the established federal per diem for May 2013, please mention this when making your hotel reservation.  The hotel is holding 45 rooms at the federal per diem rate.  You will need to mention that you are part of the North American Association of Fisheries Economists (NAAFE) block and you need one of the rooms at the federal per diem rate.  It is recommended you make this reservation ASAP.  You will need to present proper ID when checking into the hotel.

How do I Make my Hotel Reservation?
To make your hotel reservation, call 1-800-808-9833 (USA and Canada) or 1-727-367-6461 (Outside the USA and Canada) and you must mention you are part of the 2013 Meeting of the North American Association of Fisheries Economists (NAAFE) Forum to get the reduced group rate of $119.00.  Or, CLICK HERE to view a PDF reservation form that can be completed and returned to the Resort.  Remember, the reservation deadline is Saturday, April 20, 2013 or while rooms are available.

To confirm a reservation, a first night’s deposit (US funds via check, money order, valid VISA American Express or MasterCard) must be received with the reservation request.  Final payment form the individual is due upon departure.

For participants seeking tax exempt status, please be sure to complete the necessary forms and have your government issued ID available at check-in.  In order to qualify for tax exemption, payment must be made in the form of a government issued credit card or check, not a personal credit card.  Federal employees may use the following tax exempt form.

Group Reservation Cut-Off Date: Saturday, April 20, 2013
Reservations received by the hotel after Saturday, April 20, 2013 will be accepted at the prevailing rate and the discounted group rate will no longer be available. We encourage you to make your hotel reservation as soon as possible.

Parking

  • Participants STAYING at the TradeWinds Islands Resort:
    • Self-parking is complimentary for one car per bedroom for hotel guests.
    • Valet parking is $8.00 per night.

  • Participants NOT staying at the TradeWinds Islands Resort:
    • Parking for non-overnight drive-in participants of NAAFE will be subject to availability and will be charged a parking rate, which is currently $15.00 per day.
    • Valet parking is $8.00 additional (currently $23.00) per day.

Resort Amenities (Fee has been Waived for NAAFE)
The resort fee has been waived for the group, since participants will have little time to enjoy the amenities.  If you do find yourself with some free time, please enjoy the following complimentary activities/items that are part of the resort package:

  • Use of fitness center and tennis courts
  • Daily coffee/local newspaper
  • In-room safes
  • Wireless internet in guestrooms, common areas, and meeting rooms
  • Domestic in/out faxes
  • Business center use/internet use
  • Beach cabana (1 per room)
  • Miniature golf
  • Paddleboats
  • Self-parking for one car per bedroom
  • Local, credit card, operator assisted access, and toll free calls

Should you find a resort/amenity fee on your folio when you check out, please notify the front desk to have this removed.

Complimentary luggage storage is available for those guests who arrive early or must remain past check out time.
