Registration Information

Note for International Participants: If you require a visa to enter the United States, we urge you to begin the visa application process now to secure an approved travel visa. Apply for a visa no later than 90-days prior to travel, but ideally begin the request process six months prior. Applicants for visitor visas should generally apply to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate with jurisdiction over their place of permanent residence. The registration fee, combined with funds contributed by our generous sponsors, provides each attendee symposium materials and full participation in symposium functions including all sessions, morning, mid-day and afternoon refreshments, the Monday evening Welcome Networking Social, and group lunch and dinner Tuesday through Thursday.

 

Please note: Fee payments must accompany all registrations by the registration deadline to qualify for the applicable discount.

 

*To register at the reduced rate, student attendees must fax or email a copy of their valid student ID to the UF/IFAS Office of Conferences and Institutes at 352-392-9734 or j.garcia@ufl.edu.

 

Guest Fees
   All figures are presented in US dollars ($).

Tuesday Guest Fee $60 Includes participation in the Tuesday evening reception, dinner, and tour of firefly habitat in Cedar Key, Florida.
Thursday Guest Fee $60 Includes participation in the Thursday evening guided tour of the Butterfly Rainforest Exhibit, reception, and dinner at the Florida Museum of Natural History in Gainesville, Florida.

Please note:

  • Guests may participate in both the Tuesday and Thursday evening functions for a total price of $120.

  • The guest fees do not include entrance into symposium sessions, conference materials, refreshment breaks, or lunches.

  • Guest fees are not for use by co-workers.

Before registering, we recommend that you have payment information on-hand, such as credit card number, check number, or purchase order number, if we are to invoice your institution.

 

Advanced registration is closed, however, we will be happy to register you at the conference and look forward to your participation.

 

Refund Policy:
Requests for registration refunds will be honored if written notice of cancellation is received by the University of Florida IFAS Office of Conferences & Institutes on or before Friday, July 18, 2014. A processing fee of $150.00 will be deducted from all symposium attendee refunds, and $50.00 from all student attendee refunds. No refunds will be honored for cancellations after Friday, July 18, 2014. To cancel your registration, email Kim Brand (kimmer72@ufl.edu).

 

Special Needs:
Participants with special needs such as visual, hearing, or walking impairments can be reasonably accommodated by contacting the University of Florida IFAS Office of Conferences & Institutes at least 10 working days prior to the conference.
