Following a week of thoughtful presentations and discussion the following declarations were issued at EMECS 9. The declarations provide only a snapshot of the dedication of the EMECS 9 participants to their cause as they faced Hurricane Irene and her major disruptions along the East Coast of the US and still held an enormously successful meeting.
