The symposium will be held at the TradeWinds Island Grand
Resort located on the island of St. Pete Beach, Florida.
This beachfront property is the perfect setting for our
symposium. Awarded the
Florida green
lodging certificate, the resort will comfortably
accommodate all of our CIMR sessions and events. It is also
a classic, AAA four-diamond, family-friendly resort offering
a colorful mix of relaxation, fun and recreation that is
ideal for incorporating a family vacation.

Guest Room Rate and Information
Sleeping rooms have been contracted at the Tradewinds Island
Grand Resort for CIMR attendees at a reduced rate. The
reservation deadline has been extended to May 10, 2008. Please be aware
the rooms may fill before the discounted rate deadline, so
we urge you to begin travel preparations now and make your
reservation as soon as possible.
Participants who
choose not to stay at the hotel will be charged a parking
fee, currently $15.00 per day.

How to Make a Reservation
Contact the
Resort by telephone and be certain to state you are with “CIMR”
(Climate Information for Managing Risks) to receive the
special group rates. Call: 1-800-808-9833 (USA & Canada);
1-727-367-6461 (outside the USA and Canada), or click the
link below for a PDF reservation form that can be completed
and returned to the Resort. Remember the special rate
deadline is April 28, 2008 or while rooms are available.

Guest room
rates are subject to state and local taxes, currently
12%, unless attendee provides proof of tax exempt status
prior to check in.

Rates quoted
are net, non-commissionable.

Rooms are
based on single or double occupancy, per night. Children
under 18 are complimentary when sharing a room. Each
additional person 18 years of age and older will be
charged an additional fee of $15.00 per room, per night.

To confirm a
reservation, a first night’s deposit (US Funds via
check, money order, valid VISA, MasterCard or American
Express card) must be received with the reservation
request.

Group room
rates will be extended three (3) days prior and three
(3) days following the symposium, based on availability.

Group room
rates may not be combined with any other special offer,
package or discount.

Guest
check-in time is after 4:00 PM and check out is prior to
12:00 Noon. Complimentary luggage storage is available
for those guests who arrive early or must remain past
check out time.

A nightly
Resort Amenity Fee (RAF/Parking) is included in the rate
for each room. Benefits include:

limited parking facilities, no oversized vehicles,
trailers or RV’s are permitted to park on property
without prior arrangements. Participants who choose
not to stay at the Tradewinds will be charged to park, currently
$15.00 per day. |
Florida State Government Employees: In order for the Hotel to
process your account as exempt for Florida State sales tax,
the State requires compliance with the following:

Your
organization will provide the Hotel with a copy of a
current exemption certificate issued by the State of
Florida (other state certificates are not valid in
Florida).

The account
will be paid in full by funds of the organization to
which the certificate is issued upon receipt of the
final billing statement.

Individuals
are not tax-exempt unless they are traveling on business
for their group or organization.
Federal
Government Employees: Employees of the Federal
Government must provide a copy of official
government travel orders at check-in or present valid
government I.D. upon check-in and payment must be made in
the form of a government issued check or credit card.

Participants will be responsible for all contacts and arrangements.

The TradeWinds is a non-smoking property and does not have smoking rooms.

Once you have located a roommate – make certain you do the following:

Reserve your hotel room
specifying two double beds as soon as possible. Double rooms are
LIMITED.

Communicate to the hotel ALL
payment methods (e.g. split bill, deposit, etc).
-
Verify you are requesting the
standard double room at the $129 rate.

Once completed, submit request
to remove your name from the Share-a-room list.
